Agrarische Insecten Cluster (AIC)

Towards a sustainable insect production and processing chain

Date

From until

In this project, the consortium, consisting of partners with expertise in various areas, join forces to create a sustainable chain for the production and processing of black soldier fly larvae and yellow mealworms as a high-quality protein-rich raw material. In this collaboration, forces are combined from producer to customer to create economically profitable, sustainable and high-quality end products. By organising the members in a cluster where profit and risk are equally distributed, the project aims for efficient and feasible production of insects.

This project contributes to the objective of 'more alternative proteins' of the Flemish protein strategy.
