Run or cheer for charity!
On Monday June 23, the Teacher Training Department of Thomas More in Mechelen organises a heartwarming running event. Between 12:00 and 14:00, students and staff of Thomas More meet at a park Botanique (Kruidtuin) for a run for charity and a cosy fair.
The profit of this event will be donated to De Keeting, a non-profit organisation in Mechelen that is committed to fight against poverty.
Who can participate?
Everybody who wants to help De Keeting. Both sporty types as well as fans, staff and other students are very welcome. You can choose for a long distance run, or just run for 2 kilometers.

On Monday June 23 at 12:00, the festivities will start in park Botanique (Kruidtuin), next to campus Kruidtuin. Try to run as much but, most of all, as enjoyable as possible during these 2 hours. You can change clothes before and after the event in the multifunctional room at campus Kruidtuin.
During the event everybody can enjoy the cosy atmosphere at the small fair with food and music. These benefits will be donated to De Keeting as well.
And above all this … at the end of the race some lovely gifts will be given to:
- the best runner (most kilometres)
- the best team (most kilometres)
- the runner with the largest, cheering fanbase
How to register?
You can register here until June 18. The participation fee is 5 euro. But feel free to donate more for De Keeting.
A nice bonus:
- The first 20 registrations will receive a unique Thomas More running shirt!
- Anyone who runs 2 km (or more) will receive a voucher for a snack. If you are running as a team, you must complete 20 laps together in order to get a free snack for everyone in the team.
Run like a Teacher is an event for vzw De Keeting.
All participants to the run are insured.
