These days are all about giving our international students a warm welcome. You’ll discover Belgian customs, make new friends, and feel at home before classes begin.
Belgian students start around mid-September. Please check the box 'Welcome in your programme' on your programme page for the exact date.

We are eager to meet you in Belgium and are thrilled to welcome you as from 27 January for degree students and 3 February for exchange students!
First time in Belgium? A little bit nervous? No need to, as we have 'buddies', local students who will be excited to guide you and help you adjust to life in Belgium if you want.
Signed up already for a buddy? Yes, your buddy or first friend in Belgium will be ready to help you out when you arrive, to make you feel at ease as from your first days in Belgium!

Orientation Days! Don't you dare to miss these!
At Thomas More, your first academic year starts with Orientation Days: several days filled with a mix of educational workshops and enjoyable activities.
Get to know your fellow students, campus and study programme before classes start. Orientation Days are the ideal combination of relaxing activities and very useful information sessions. These information sessions are part of your programme and therefore a must. Once you are registered, you can find the detailed schedule on the Student Portal (for degree & postgraduate students).
Orientation Days - February 2026
Will you be starting your studies at Thomas More in the Spring semester? We are happy to welcome you on our campuses as from 2 February 2026. Please ensure that you arrive in Belgium during the week of 26 January. This will allow you sufficient time to settle in and complete all necessary administrative formalities before the start of classes.

Orientation Days – Academic year 2026/27
Fall semester:
- Arrival Days (only for degree students): 7 - 11 September 2026
- Orientation Days (for degree and exchange students): 14- 18 September 2026
Spring semester:
- Arrival Days (only for degree students): 22 - 26 January 2027
- Orientation Days (for degree and exchange students): 1- 5 February 2026
