Programme

  • Classes run from mid-September to the end of January. During this period, you complete a wide range of practical assignments and take part in one-day internships on Wednesdays.
  • From February until the end of May, you focus on your bachelor’s thesis and complete your long internship.
  • The course units combine theory and practice in a well-balanced way. They provide the building blocks you need to create professional radio. You will work on group exercises and apply knowledge from different subjects directly in hands-on assignments. This approach offers the ideal training — theory alone is not enough — and it also prepares you perfectly for your bachelor’s thesis, your gateway to the industry.
  • Want even more hands-on experience? No problem: you can extend your internship by several weeks. This unique internship system helps you build contacts in the field, gain clarity about your future direction, and significantly increase your job opportunities.

Below you can find an overview of the courses ( under reservation of changes), with the number of credits per phase. Credits express how many hours you need on average to process the subject matter (incl. lessons). Count about 25 to 30 hours for 1 study credit.

BATAC Virtual Production-Professionals als docenten

Industry professionals as lecturers

BATAC lecturers are true authorities in their field: specialists in After Effects and Unreal Engine, virtual set directors, and producers who work on set every day. You will train with the latest equipment and often work on location.

Start right away

By the end of the programme, you will understand every stage of a film production and can easily contribute at any point in the workflow. You can start your career as a motion designer, virtual set producer or multi-skilled director. Most graduates quickly find their way into the audiovisual industry.

In practice

Between September and January, you will complete at least six one-day internships at production companies, service providers and broadcasters. The programme offers a number of these day internships, but you can also find placements yourself. This internship system is unique within the education landscape.

Between February and mid-June, you will complete a minimum of six weeks of internship (or longer) at one or more companies that match your interests. By combining different internship placements, you increase your chances of finding a job. Of course, you can also do your internship abroad — within Europe or beyond!

Students do internships at, among others: Sputnik, Roses are Blue, EMG, VRT, DPG Media, Prismax, Studio 100, Play, Woestijnvis, Telenet, Panenka, Hotel Bonka, NEP, Eurogrip and DB Videoproductions.

Personal coaching

You don’t learn television through theory alone — you learn it by experimenting, taking risks and even failing!
Your lecturers are your coaches throughout the programme, and you can always rely on them.
Communication is direct, open and approachable.
