  • Phase 1 | Lay solid foundations for exploration! Pick up the core knowledge, skills and perspectives you need to unleash your inner communications and media professional. Get introduced to the fundamentals of communication and media. Learn key skills in storytelling and engagement, content creation, and strategy to build a solid foundation. Kick-start your international exploration with Expedition Europe — a week-long inter-university collaboration.
  • Phase 2 | Deepen your knowledge with specialized courses and practical projects that teach you to critique, analyse and persuade. Discover your strengths and clarify your career direction.
    Take your international experience further with the spring semester at one of our partner universities abroad.
  • Phase 3 | Specialize and launch your career in Content Strategy & Engagement. Dive deep into content creation, storytelling, and community building while sharpening your strategic mindset. You’ll learn how to design long-term content strategies and campaigns, measure impact with analytics and AI tools, and manage owned media platforms that spark genuine interaction. 
    Alongside your courses, gain hands-on experience through an international internship — applying your skills in the field, from building engagement plans for brands to managing online communities across borders."

In the first two phases, everyone follows the same broad curriculum. You’ll dive into a variety of communication and media topics, from communication strategy and content creation to intercultural connection and media & audience insights. This shared foundation helps you explore all sides of the field, discover what excites you most, and develop the versatile skills you’ll need as an international communication professional.

Studying in Mechelen

Mechelen is hip and happening. A student-sized city. With a cappuccino on the go from the station to campus. After your exam, lunch in the sun and a quick visit to the shop.
