Bérénice studied labour sociology at KU Leuven. She then worked as an assistant and researcher at the Centre for Social Policy of the University of Antwerp and as a lecturer in Social Work at Thomas More. In 2006, she launched research on reference budgets at Thomas More. She completed this research with a PhD in 2012 and has since coordinated research and valorisation projects on the topic. Bérénice is convinced that preventing poverty costs less and yields far more than fighting it.

Outside of work, you’ll find Bérénice walking in and around beautiful Malle, jogging with friends, at a concert, or simply at home with her family and friends.
