LiCalab - Living & Care Lab - supports companies and organisations in the care and welfare sector with living lab research. We explore, co-create, test and evaluate innovative solutions with users in their own living and working environment. In this way, we increase the social and economic impact of care solutions. The focus is on care technology and innovative organisation of care.

Discover our projects

Thanks to LiCalab's expertise and dedication, Moonbird has conducted several successful user studies. In addition, together we set up co-creation sessions with various stakeholders, including patients, athletes and children. The customised advice, smooth cooperation, accurate working methods and clear communication were a huge help in this. We are extremely grateful to LiCalab for their role in the success of our company. Together, we pushed the boundaries and discovered new possibilities. 

Belgian start-up Moonbird, 2023

ENoLL

LiCalab is a member of ENoLL, the European Network of Living Labs. Within ENoLL, 480+ living labs (living labs) are active within Europe and beyond. ENoLL unites living labs, provides knowledge transfer and promotes the concept of living labs within European innovation and research policy.

Health&Care Network Kempen

LiCalab is a founding member of the Health&Care Network Kempen. The Health&Care Network Kempen strengthens entrepreneurship and collaborations in the field of health & care.

EITH Health User Validation Labs

LiCalab is a member of the EITH Health User Validation Labs. This European programme supports start-ups with end-user studies. The ULabs include living labs, accelerators, hospitals and innovation centres in Europe.

European Reference Site on Active and Healthy Ageing

LiCalab coordinates the reference site 'Health&Care Network Kempen'. A reference site is a region that has demonstrated a strong commitment to innovative strategies to improve the quality of life of older adults. EIP-AHA is an initiative of the European Commission.
