Multifactor Authentication MFA
To ensure that we can all continue to work and learn safely, we ask you to log in to your Thomas More account & in the KUL applications with your password and an additional security method: an app or text message. Logging in with an additional security method is called multi-factor authentication. In addition to your password, you use an app or text message to confirm your identity when logging in. This makes it extra difficult for cybercriminals to penetrate our virtual school environment.

Thomas More uses the Microsoft Authenticator app to log you into your Thomas More Account (email, Canvas, OneDrive, Teams, Student Portal).
How can you set up MFA for your Thomas More account?
Login method for KU LEUVEN with the KUL authenticator
You also need to log in with MFA for a number of KU Leuven applications. You can use this to check your credits in the KU Loket or consult your class schedule. KU Leuven uses its own authenticator app. This means you need to download a different app and set up your MFA a second time.
KU Leuven uses MFA when logging in to the KU Loket, TimeEdit (rooster.thomasmore.be), the internship portal, print management (reloading credit) and the Service Desk.
