Roy Sevit

Roy Sevit was born March 11 in Heusden-Zolder. He studied at KHLim college of applied sciences where he received his master's degree in chip design in 2009. He conducted his master's thesis at IMEC together with Robin Brouns under the supervision of Jan Genoe and Kris Myny. The resulting thesis: "Design of a CMOS driver IC for flexible active-matrix OLED displays" was awarded a Barco/VIK nomination in 2009.

Roy started his career in 2009 at Mobilab & Care where he was mainly involved in the development of mechatronic solutions and played a key role in the development of a robotic exoskeleton for the upper limbs. That exoskeleton aims to improve the rehabilitation process of stroke patients and individuals with upper limb disorders. Currently, he is still active in that field and is expanding his focus to the development of lower limb exoskeletons.
