Vicky Van der Auwera is operations manager at LiCalab. She is responsible for day-to-day management and strategy. She is also active as project manager in several regional and international projects at LiCalab.
Vicky Van der Auwera holds a degree in civil mechanical-electrical engineering from the VUB. She started her career as a senior designer and then as R&D manager within the mechanical engineering departments of large and medium-sized companies.
In 2010, she moved to Thomas More where she started working at the Innovation and Research department to stimulate and guide research valorisation. In 2012, she co-founded LiCalab in close cooperation with the city of Turnhout. Her background as an engineer helps her understand the role of healthcare technology within LiCalab's projects and activities.
