Laptops and software
A computer is an essential support for your studies. You use it to access the digital learning environment, attend online classes, complete exercises, and more. Therefore, we recommend that you have a good computer at the start of your academic year. You also get access to a software package tailored to your course.
Laptop requirements
Do you already have a laptop? Great! You don't always need to buy a new one, but make sure to check if your computer meets the specific requirements of your programme. Go to the page of the programme you will be taking and check at the bottom of the blue bar witch practical information under the heading 'Laptops & software' to see if there are any specific laptop requirements. Some programmes require using your own laptop and have specific demands for it. This ensures that the programmes you will use during your studies run smoothly on your laptop.
What should my laptop be capable of? If your device currently works smoothly during video conferences (Skype, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, ...), you will likely be able to connect well during online classes.
Software
As a student you get access to a software package tailored to your course. During the academic year 2025-2026 you pay €37 for this at registration.
Financial picture
Are you concerned about the financial aspect? Our Student Services (Stuvo) department may be able to provide financial assistance through a Stuvo allowance and/or temporarily provide a loaner laptop in case of financial need.
