The GREAT project aims to enhance mental health care across the Northwest Europe (NWE) region by facilitating the transfer of best practice innovations in digital mental health between these countries. The project focuses on making these innovations accessible, equitable, and available, with an emphasis on cultural adaptation and reducing waiting times through the active engagement of end-users. By doing so, the project seeks to improve mental health outcomes and create a more inclusive and efficient mental health care system.
The overall objective of the project is to improve access to high-quality digital mental health care across the NWE region by making proven digital mental health solutions more widely available and culturally adapted to local contexts. The project aims to reduce disparities in mental health care by ensuring that these innovations are accessible to all, regardless of location, socio-economic status, or cultural background.
The expected change is a more equitable, efficient, and accessible mental health care system in the NWE region. By reducing waiting times and providing culturally relevant digital tools, the project will help alleviate a part of the burden on traditional mental health services and improve outcomes for individuals across the region.
