Sabrina Mariën

Sabrina obtained her Master’s degree in Business Economics at Lessius University College in Antwerp, with a specialization in International Relations. She began her career as a Controller in the profit sector, where she developed broad financial expertise in various international companies. Later, she made a deliberate switch to the non-profit sector and took on the role of Finance Business Partner in the hospital sector.

For some time now, Sabrina has been working at Thomas More, where she serves as the financial point of contact, supporting colleagues with various financial matters, including budget monitoring and project financing. She is affiliated with the the Research Group People and Well-being and the Expertise Centre Education and Learning.

Her mission is to make financial processes clear, practical, and transparent, enabling researchers and colleagues to focus on their core tasks — with the reassurance that the figures are in good hands.
