Over Michelle

Michelle Symons behaalde haar PhD in de communicatiewetenschappen aan de Universiteit Antwerpen, waar ze onderzoek deed naar lichaamsbeweging via smartphone-apps en wearables. In haar doctoraat onderzocht ze onder meer hoe humoristische boodschappen kunnen bijdragen aan motivatie om te bewegen bij mentaal vermoeide personen. Na haar doctoraat werkte Michelle als lector en postdoctoraal onderzoeker.

Vandaag brengt Michelle onderzoekers, praktijkpartners en organisaties samen rond thema’s zoals welzijn, preventie, gezondheidscommunicatie en digitale gezondheid. Ze denkt mee over samenwerking, valorisatie en maatschappelijke impact, met als doel onderzoeksresultaten te vertalen naar betekenisvolle innovaties voor de brede praktijk.
