This session will provide an overview of higher education in the United States to students who are interested in studying in the United States or are already preparing to apply at U.S. universities to pursue a master’s program. During this session we will talk about the differences of the higher education system in the U.S., how to research your options, financing, the admissions process, visa, and other useful information before departing to the U.S. Lastly, we will give more information about the Fulbright Program in Belgium.
The Fulbright Commission in Brussels awards grants to Belgian and Luxembourgish citizens to study, research, or lecture at an accredited U.S. institution for a period between three months and one year. Grants are available for study and research in all fields of study, with additional Partner Awards available for study and research in specific fields (e.g., law, STEM).
The EducationUSA Advising Center in Brussels is based at the Fulbright Commission of Belgium and is available to help you navigate the process of applying to study in the United States, from researching your options to financing your studies and obtaining a student visa. EducationUSA advisers are also available to reply to your questions via email and can offer further information during in-person advising appointments.
