Nele De Witte (PhD) is a researcher in the People and Well-being research group, research line Psychology and technology. Her areas of expertise include wearables and XR. She is also the scientific coordinator of LiCalab.
Nele is interested in how advances in technological applications and understanding of psychophysiological processes can enhance the prevention and treatment of mental health problems in adults and adolescents. She obtained her PhD from Ghent University and is now doing practice-based research in the field of digital mental health. Some topics she works on are wearables, AR for exposure and acceptance of online help. She is also the scientific coordinator for the living lab LiCalab and the coordinator of the Digital Mental Health course in the applied psychology programme.
