Innovative underwear as a hip protector
Goal
Hip fractures are a major problem in old age, often with major consequences.
Ribcap has developed considerable expertise in making head protection. No stigmatising, unattractive headgear, but contemporary hats and helmets for children or adults at risk of falling (e.g. with epilepsy and the elderly).
Using the same technology, Ribcap makes innovative, comfortable, fashionable underwear that protects the hips in the event of a fall. Ribcap is developing a prototype seamless panty with a quasi-invisible foam layer to break the impact of a fall.
