Inclusion of people with disabilities

Project

CVO INCLUSIEF 2

Preparing CVOs for inclusive adult education

Everyone has the right to inclusive education. Teachers in Adult Education Centers usually have little or no experience teaching adults with intellectual disabilities. With this project we want to support CVOs in setting up inclusive educational pathways.

What

In a previous project, we developed the CVO Inclusive script. It provides concrete guidelines to Centra Voor Volwassenenonderwijs (CVOs) to make their courses accessible to people with intellectual disabilities.

The goal of this project is to spread it even more widely. Within this project, CVOs can be supported in inclusively teaching adults with intellectual disabilities.

We are developing a guidance module. It provides guidance on how to create a foundation for inclusion and how to train teachers and coaches to work inclusively.

This module is based on the CVO inclusive script. We are extensively testing it in different CVOs. The guidance module will be available online for all educational networks.
