Technology

As an exchange student, you can choose from a wide range of credits within our field of Tech&IT:

  • You want to know how to design and build the future? We teach you how to go from a simple idea to a high quality product in Design&Production Technology.

  • Conditions

    You must be studying at one of our partner institutions. You must be nominated by your home coordinator and accepted by the exchange programme at Thomas More (see admission procedure for exchange students). You must have obtained at least 120 ECTS when you start in the autumn semester and at least 90 ECTS when you start in the spring semester.

    The Learning Agreement must be arranged together with the International Coordinator of Thomas More.

  • Language requirements

    Students are required to upload proof of B2 language proficiency. Accepted certificates include the Erasmus+ OLS language test, Duolingo or other official and internationally recognized test results.

Programme

  • Get nominated by your home institution before 1 May | 15 October.
  • Apply by 15 May | 30 October (application procedure will be sent by email only to nominated students).
  • Receive your acceptance letter and further information in June | November.
  • Welcome at Thomas More in September | February.

In case you would have to retake an exam, it will be organised in August - September. By mutual agreement between the sending institution and the receiving institution we can consider to retake the exam at your home institution under supervision.

Embedded Factory

We are the only university of applied sciences in Flanders that has an Embedded Factory Lab with CAD tools, a Pick & Place machine… state-of-the-art-devices that you will also come across later in your workspace. You will have all the necessary tools to turn an idea into an excellent end product.

Makerspace

In our brand new Makerspace you can do some experimenting yourself. We provide all kinds of machines, materials and tools. Imagine a room full of 3D printers, laser cutters and milling machines: you’ll find it all!

Automotive Technology Center

Step inside our Automotive Technology Centre and find more than 20 different vehicles along with all kinds of setups for you to test them out on. From a 4x4 dynamometer to suspension, brake and engine test benches. For real hands-on learning!
