In different episodes, ACSELL Cast brings the benefits of demand-driven innovation and living lab methods to SMEs across Europe. In this episode, Stefanie Broes (Moonbird) and Ingrid Adriaensen (LiCalab) talk about their collaboration as a company and care living lab from both perspectives.
ACSELL stands for ACcelerating SmE innovation capacities with a Living Lab approach. In the ACSELL project, seven European regions (from Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Romania, Scotland and Slovenia) work together to develop or strengthen open innovation ecosystems by involving end-users early in the innovation process.
In 2021, the project started with ACSELL Cast, a series of podcasts on the benefits of demand-driven innovation for SMEs. In the sixth episode, Ingrid Adriaensen (LiCalab) and Stefanie Broes (Moonbird) talk about involving end users. Moonbird chose the living lab method from the idea phase of their product. Through co-creation sessions, interviews and live testing the development of their product was accelerated exponentially.
