Met het expertisecentrum Mens & Welzijn willen we op een betrouwbare manier de uitdagingen verkleinen waar mensen mee kampen op het vlak van gezondheid en welzijn.  We doen dit door zorgprofessionals en zorgorganisaties te versterken en te ondersteunen via de ontwikkeling van bruikbare instrumenten, onderbouwde methodes en het valideren van het gebruik van nieuwe technologieën zoals o.a. AR en VR in de geestelijke gezondheidszorg.   Via onze vormingen en workshops reiken we de zorgprofessional ook een brede waaier aan professionaliseringsmogelijkheden aan.

With the People & Well-being Expertise Centre, we aim to reliably reduce the challenges people face in terms of health and well-being.  We do this by strengthening and supporting care professionals and care organisations through the development of useful tools, substantiated methods and validating the use of new technologies such as AR and VR in mental healthcare.   Through our trainings and workshops, we reach also out to healthcare professionals with a wide range of professionalisation opportunities.

Joke Simons (PhD) is sinds 2005 docent-onderzoeker de onderzoeksgroep Mens en Welzijn. Zij werkte mee aan diverse projecten rond interculturaliteit en diversiteit, meertaligheid, Fit-voor-Lezen, Fit-voor-Rekenen, LABO-werking.

Ineke Wilssens studeerde Logopediewetenschap aan de Universiteit van Utrecht en is sinds 2017 onderzoeker bij het expertisecentrum Mens en Welzijn. Communicatieve ontwikkeling en spraakstoornissen vormen haar onderzoeksdomein.
