Within this research line, we gather expertise on the broad field of diagnostic methods and materials that can help in this, as well as the action-oriented interventions that follow.
Technology can make healthcare more qualitative, cost-effective and accessible. The 'Psychology and technology' research line investigates the potential of XR, apps and wearables in (mental) health care and develops and evaluates apps, software and monitoring systems.
How can we make prevention in health and welfare, education and leisure as effective as possible? The 'Effective prevention and empowerment' line of research explores appropriate methods and interventions that work for everyone, with a particular focus on individuals and groups who are often overlooked.
The research line 'Safeguarding Sport & Society' focuses on both qualitative and quantitative research. Within this research line, both offender, victim, environmental, and social perspectives are highlighted within research on violence against minors and vulnerable groups. In addition, practice-oriented research is developed in which prevention initiatives against transgressive behaviour are evaluated, mainly in the context of sport.
