The Speech-Language Pathology International Network (SLP-IN) is a consortium of SLP-departments across the world devoted to advance the profession of SLP by networking through education, research and professional practice.
Established in 1993, the Speech Language Pathology International Network (SLP-IN) originates from an Erasmus LLP Intensive Program. This Network is specifically geared towards Speech-Language Pathology departments, initially bringing together institutions from European countries. Since becoming self-sustaining in 2011, the Network has expanded to include non-European partners as well. Today, the SLP-IN consortium unites 20 SLP departments from 15 countries across 3 continents (Europe, Asia, and America).
The Speech Language Pathology International Network (SLP-IN) aims to advance the profession of Speech Language Pathology (SLP) through extensive networking in education, research, and professional practice. The network benefits students and staff of partner institutions at an institutional level, as well as professionals within the broader community.
The SLP-IN is structured with a Coordinator responsible for daily management and financial oversight. The SLP-IN Steering Committee consists of representatives from 4 Network departments, with half rotating every 3 years. Additionally, the SLP-IN Board Meeting gathers one representative from each Network department.
