Budget and Financial Well-being

PhD in social sciences. Research manager Centre of Expertise Budget and Financial Well-being

Bérénice studied sociology at KU Leuven. Afterwards, she worked as a researcher at the Centre for Social Policy Herman Deleeck at the University of Antwerp. Later, she started the research on reference budgets at Thomas More. She valorised her work 12 years ago with a doctoral degree and has been coordinating the research activities of the ‘Centre of Expertise Budget and Financial Well-being’ ever since. Bérénice is convinced that poverty prevention is much less expensive and much more beneficial than poverty relief.

Outside work, you can find Bérénice on one of her walks in and around beautiful Malle, jogging with friends, at a concert or just at home with her family and friends.
