Hi, I am Judy Huang, a Ph.D. candidate from the University of Stavanger Business School, Norway. I work on a research project named "Releasing the Power of Users". It is a four-year international project funded by the Norwegian Research Council. The aim is to engage users of healthcare solutions, their families, and professionals, during the innovation processes and build a co-creative ecosystem in digital health. My work mainly investigates how to involve users and create an environment for co-creation. The living lab is one of the newer forms of open innovation approach/platform we are looking at.

I connected with LiCalab during the pandemic period. Now and finally, I am able to visit Geel, this charming city, and the super friendly people from LiCalab. In March, I am here as a researcher with transnational access to infrastructure and services of the VITALISE project funded by the European Horizon 2020 program. Together with the LiCalab panel managers, we have run two co-creation sessions about "Innovative Products for Daily Life". I will still be at Thomas More during April and June under a research stay. I look forward to learning more about the living lab's work, methods for user engagement, and meeting people from this region.
