Day 2 - SAFE SPORT CONFERENCE

Safeguarding Principles – Safe Sport Inspiration Days

At the Safe Sport Inspiration Days, we are committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants. Everyone shares the responsibility in creating and maintaining a space where open communication, mutual respect, and personal well-being are prioritised. These safeguarding principles aim to ensure that everyone can engage fully, freely, and without fear.

Care and Take Care

Be mindful of how your words and actions could affect others. If someone raises concerns about your behaviour, take them seriously and adjust accordingly. Inappropriate behaviour may lead to removal by the organisers.

Respect for Others

Respect everyone’s diversity, choices, and personal boundaries. Treat others with the same respect you wish to receive. Ensure that everyone feels valued and heard.

Consideration and Awareness

Recognise that others may have different comfort level, needs and coping strategies. Do not pressure anyone into participating in activities or conversations they are uncomfortable with. Be mindful, respectful and considerate in all interactions.

Support and Assistance

If you feel worried, unsafe, need help or would like to talk about some of the topics covered and/or something that took place at the conference, contact our safeguarding supporters. A private room will be available at the venue.
