Glen Debard
Researcher committed to introducing technology in (mental) health care for young and old.
Glen Debard has a doctorate in Engineering Technology. His dissertation is titled "Camera-based fall detection using real-life data." In 2008, he became a senior researcher at Mobilab & Care.
His expertise is in the areas of fall detection, image and signal processing, and machine learning. He applies that to real-life data to develop health care applications to improve the quality of life of mainly elderly persons and persons with stress-related problems. He is (co-)author of more than 40 publications in international journals and conferences and has been involved in more than 10, mainly Flemish, projects.
