Our lab is equipped with 3D motion cameras (CodaMotion®), pressure plates, force plates, motion sensors (Captiv), EMG sensors and a 4D spine scanning system (Diers®). We have used these tools in the analysis of the functioning of lower leg prostheses, ankle-foot orthoses, insoles, exoskeletons used in a working environment, and much more.
Through our (bio-)mechanical tests, we evaluate various attributes of existing aids, such as their stiffness and strength. Furthermore, we have the capability to conduct extended repetitions of identical movement patterns. For example, we assessed the fatigue resistance of newly designed prostheses by subjecting them to several million gait cycles using a robotic gait simulator. Additionally, we successfully validated novel measurement systems by confirming their ability to recognize the specified kinematic pattern.

Loves to chat about orthoses, prosthetics and how to make them as optimal as possible, for every patient!
Babbelt graag over orthesen, prothesen en hoe deze zo optimaal mogelijk te maken, voor elke patiënt!
