Curious about (bio)mechanical assessment of orthotics and prosthetics. Engaged in researching and implementing tailored and innovative solutions within orthopaedic technologies
Luiza Muraru has participated as a researcher at Mobilab & Care in several national and European projects, focused on basic or applied research, related to orthopedic technology, rehabilitation technology, additive manufacturing for orthotics and prosthetics.
Currently, Luiza is part of the international team of the MOTION project that aims to develop, validate and implement rehabilitation technology for children with neurological disorders. Luiza coordinates the activities of the Mobilab & Care team and the activities of the other partners involved in the laboratory evaluation of the rehabilitation technology being developed within the project.
For her PhD (KU Leuven, Department of Biomechanics), Luiza conducted research on the biomechanical aspects of bone-oral implants interface as part of the foundations for rapid integration of oral implants. Luiza holds a master's degree in biomedical engineering with specialization in biomaterials (Gh. Asachi Technical University and Gr. T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Iasi, Romania).
