Are you looking for an opportunity to meet new people despite the travel restrictions? Are you interested in learning more about other cultures or collaborate with students from aboard? Are you a change maker? Would you like to dive into an international, intercultural, and interdisciplinary adventure? Are you passionate about creating impact?
Great! Tackling Global Challenges is for you!

What?

With the online course “Tackling Global Challenges” you can encounter students from our partners in the Global South (University of Nairobi, Kenya and BTPOTC in Ghana, Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia, …). The backbone of the course are the SDG’s - Sustainable Development Goals. Those goals will stimulate action over the next years in areas of critical importance for humanity and the planet and this in a global partnership. We want to see a world free from poverty, inequality, and on top of reversing climate change by the year 2030.

Every year we pick a few central topics. With Intercultural communication at the center, this year you will collaborate and reflect together on climate action and a few more SDGs.

How?

The programme is composed of 7 virtual sessions on the community platform. Each session will last 90 minutes and will put you to action together with your follow students. This is how you can learn the most from one another. In total there will be 7 tasks to work on in your own time at you own pace individually or in group.

The tasks are:

· Introducing yourself and your culture,

· Interviewing another student and learning about their culture,

· Building on a portfolio

· Making decision in group about a challenge on climate and other SDGs,

· Working in an intercultural/interdisciplinary team to see if you can find solutions for the chosen challenge
